Sponsor an inmate
Put a dog on your payroll
Can't adopt right now? Sponsor an inmate instead. Your monthly gift covers one dog's food, meds, and vet care while they wait for parole — and the Warden keeps you posted on how your dog is doing.

The Warden's update report
A sample from the files:
- Behavior report
- Subject was observed completing 47 laps of the yard for no documented reason. When questioned, subject wagged. Investigation closed.
- Commissary log
- Your funds were disbursed as follows: one (1) bag of kibble, one (1) heartworm preventative, one (1) tennis ball — since confiscated from under his bed, alongside the three we did not purchase.
- Medical record
- Clean bill of health. The vet described him as "a lot," which we are entering into the file as a compliment.
- Parole status
- Still eligible. Still waiting. Still absolutely certain today is the day. Your support keeps his tail at regulation wag while he waits.
Reports are written by actual humans about your actual dog. Frequency varies with rescue chaos.
Rather adopt or foster?
Sponsorship is wonderful. A couch is better. If your situation changes, your sponsored dog would love to discuss a transfer to your custody.
